OC Brew Ha Ha is almost here!

OC Brew Ha HaThe one beer event that I look forward to each year is just a few months away. This will be the fourth annual OC Brew Ha Ha. It will be held in the beautiful Oak Canyon Private Park in Silverado near Irvine Lake just like last year. This is a perfect location for the event, plenty of room for all the breweries and the thirsty craft beer enthusiasts. Last year there were 3,000 people in attendance, but I never felt crowded or had to wait more than 5 minutes in line.IMG_0373
They are promising over 70 different breweries and a 175 different craft beers. There will be live music, food trucks, cigars and plenty of shade. I know there are a lot of choices when it comes to beer festivals but if you want to see how a proper beer festival is run, attend this one. You won’t be disappointed.
Today is the last day to purchase the Early Bird Special. You can get $60 VIP ticket for only $45. The VIP gets you into the event an hour before non-VIP’s, a total of 15 samples instead of 10 and everyone gets a commemorative festival glass. The big day is Saturday September 7th.
IMG_0370In years past the brewers made arrangements to set up the night before and it turned into an impromptu party and campout. Last year you could actually purchase tickets to the campout. The campout included dinner, beer, a band, cigar smoking and breakfast in the morning. A friend and I actually purchased tickets to the campout and had a great time. The campout will be not be open to the public this year. I was exchanging emails with a Brew Ha Ha representative and she was saying that they are trying to work out a deal with Irvine Lake Campground for group rates. Stay tuned to their Facebook page or website for details.
This is beautiful location and an incredible beer festival. A portion of the proceeds go to help benefit the Orange County Fallen Firefighters Relief Fund. This non-profit helps the surviving families of Orange County Firefighters who were lost in the line of duty. So buy your ticket today and help the families of firefighters who gave everything.
