LA Beer Blogger at Sunset Beer Co
Aside from the mingling, networking, bottle sharing, and commercial beer news, we also had the opportunity to try some various home brews. Simon Ford brought some of his awesome sours, John Verive supplied a Saison and Wit Beer, and I brought a Barrel Aged Roggenbock.
The fine folks at Sunset Beer Co were amazing. If you haven’t been down to this quaint and chill bottle shop off of Sunset Blvd in Echo Park, try to make it out during LA Beer Week. It’s one of the coolest venues in LA, and the format is great for all those looking to bottle window shop and/or have something on tap. Special thank you to Sunset Beer Co for hosting our second meeting as well as our own Kelly Erickson, from Girls Who Like Beer, for organizing the location. Special thanks also to Angel City Brewery for taking the time to talk to the LA Beer Bloggers. Finally, thank you to Aften and Sierra Nevada for donating the bottles of Brux for the event.
The LA Beer Bloggers is a group of entrepreneurial beer writers and craft advocates who seek to evangelize LA Craft Beer. If you are a blogger or writer interested in joining the cause, please contact us at info@bierkast.com or come to our next meeting on Nov 4th.
Cheers!
